Our mission.
The Associate Pastor exists to recognize, equip, connect, and advance pastors and ministers serving in associate pastoral and ministry leadership.
We believe effective ministry is strengthened when leaders understand their calling, develop their gifts, honor their assignments, and serve with integrity. Through education, recognition, career opportunities, practical resources, and meaningful community, we seek to strengthen those whose leadership contributes to the health and effectiveness of the Church.
Editorial Standards
What we hold ourselves to.
- No paid recognition. Spotlight features cannot be bought.
- Consent first. We publish nothing about a real person without their explicit consent and approval of the copy.
- Verified listings. Career opportunities are confirmed with the employer and show when they were last checked.
- Named authors. Articles carry their author, date and sources.
- Honest claims. Our programs and certificates do not imply accreditation, licensing or ordination.
- Disclosure. Any sponsorship, referral or commercial relationship is disclosed where it appears.
- Corrections. When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change.
Denominational Respect
Across traditions.
Our readers serve in many traditions with different understandings of church order, ordination and pastoral office. We write from a Christ-centered, biblically grounded conviction, and we respect those differences rather than flattening them. Where a question is settled differently in different churches, we say so.
